Next week, December 4-8, is National Inclusive Schools Week. Taking place during the first full week of December each year, National Inclusive Schools Week gives us the opportunity to celebrate the progress that District 54 has made in providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. The theme for the week this year is “Draw Me In”. School staff and students will be participating in different spirit days throughout the week, as well as activities and discussions centered around inclusion. Specific activities will vary from school to school, grade to grade, and even from classroom to classroom so make sure to follow along on social media to get a glimpse into what National Inclusive Schools Week looks like in District 54 schools, and ask your student about it at the end of each day!
