The Schaumburg Township Food Pantry will have an informational table at the event for you to visit. Visit the Schaumburg Township table for some pre-race fuel (bananas, granola bars, etc.) and to drop off donations for the food pantry. The food pantry’s most needed items are canned tomato products (sauce, paste, diced), boxed pasta, pancake mix, syrup, dried or canned beans, peanut butter, condiments and baking supplies (cake/brownie mix, flour, sugar, baking soda).

T-shirts & Medals

Every registrant will receive a Tshirt and a finisher’s medal. To guarantee you receive a Tshirt in your preferred size, make sure to register by Sept. 2, 2022. Any registrations or orders received after Sept. 2 will be given Tshirts based on availability.

Packet Pickup

People who register by Sept. 19 may also pick up their registration packets from 2:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, and from 8 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, at the District 54 Professional Learning Center, 522 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. If you are picking up on Friday, please avoid school bus traffic to our Early Learning Center by parking in the far east lot in front of the 2-story administration building. Packet pickup also will be available the morning of the race starting at 7 a.m.

All proceeds from this event will be used to support literacy in District 54 by purchasing books for the libraries of new teachers, so that all students have access to a literature rich classroom. In addition, we are offering donors the opportunity to sponsor a child for the Run to Read or contribute to the District 54 Education Foundation Crisis Fund.

Not a runner? With a $10 donation, you can sponsor a D54 student whose family cannot afford to participate in this race. For $20, you can sponsor 2 children. For $100 you can sponsor 10. You get the idea.
