Get ready to launch into excitement at the District 54 Rocket Launch!
Join us for two days of high-flying fun as rocketry clubs from 25 of our schools showcase their out-of-this-world creations. From sleek designs to colorful creations, these student-built rockets are set to soar!
Mark your calendars for May 13 and 15 as we take over the Olympic Park Baseball Fields (1675 Old Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60173) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. With each school’s club assigned a specific timeslot, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to witness the thrill of liftoff! School-specific timeslots are as follows:
- Monday, May 13, 2024
- 9 – 10 a.m.: Link, Nerge and Stevenson Elementary Schools
- 10 – 11:30 a.m.: Armstrong, Churchill, Hale and Muir Elementary Schools and Lincoln Prairie School
- 11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: MacArthur, Hoover and Lakeview Elementary Schools
- Wednesday, May 15, 2024
- 8 – 9 a.m.: Addams, Frost, Keller and Mead Junior High Schools
- 9 – 11 a.m.: Blackwell, Campanelli, Einstein and Hanover Highlands Elementary Schools
- 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Collins, Fairview, Fox, Dirksen and Enders-Salk Elementary Schools
*Due to inclement weather forecasted for Tuesday, May 14, the second day of Rocket Launch has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 15.
