As part of its commitment to lifelong learning and community involvement, the Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs offers scholarships to graduating seniors who wish to further their education. Three types of scholarships are available.

  • The Four-Year College/University Scholarship is available to graduating seniors with an unweighted GPA of 3.3 or higher; or a weighted GPA of 3.6. Six scholarships are available in the amount of $1,500 each. Click here to complete the Four-Year Scholarship Application.
  • The Junior College/Trade School/Vocational School Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is available to graduating seniors with an unweighted GPA of 2.85 or higher; or a weighted GPA of 2.9 or higher. This scholarship is only available to a student attending a Junior College/Trade School/Vocation School in the fall. If you decide to attend a 4-year college or university, you will forfeit the scholarship, and it will be given to the applicant with the next highest score. • The Bonnie Greenberg Memorial Scholarship is available to a Graduating Senior with Special Education needs. A current IEP or 504 plan is a requirement for this scholarship. One scholarship in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded. Click here to complete the Bonnie Greenberg Scholarship Application.

All scholarship applicants will be evaluated on academics, responses to essay questions, and extracurricular activities/community involvement/leadership opportunities.

All applications are due by midnight on Friday, February 28, 2025. All candidates will be notified by April 15, 2025. Awards will be presented at the scholarship dinner on May 14, 2025 at Mead Jr. High School.
