District 54 will host its 14th Annual Spanish Speech Contest on April 26, 2026 at the Rafferty Administration Center. The Spanish Speech Contest is an opportunity for Spanish-speaking students to deliver speeches in the Spanish language on a variety of topics to a panel of judges.
The contest is open to District 54 students in grades 3 through 8. Speeches will be evaluated based on content, organization, language control, presentation, and memorization. There are two contest categories: Native Spanish Speaker and Spanish as a Second Language Speaker.
To apply, students should complete the Spanish Speech Contest Form by February 27, 2026. As part of the application, students will be asked to upload a video of themselves giving their speech. The video must be 3 minutes or less.
