School District 54 is looking for community members who would be interested in serving on the Budget & Legislative Network Committee. Committee members will
- Review anticipated revenues and expenditures and other issues pertinent to understanding the budgetary decisions involved in building District 54’s operating budget;
- Work to build positive, two-way relationships with local legislators, track legislation related to education and be proactive on legislative issues impacting the District’s students, staff and taxpayers; and
- Foster positive communication and community involvement at the district level.
The committee consists of representatives of the Board of Education, administration, the community and Schaumburg Education Association, and Schaumburg Educational Employees’ Organization.
Meetings will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the District 54 Professional Learning Center, 522 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg on the following dates:
- October 17, 2024,
- January 16, 2024 and
- May 15, 2024.
