Parents and guardians of children who will be new students at District 54 schools for the 2024-25 school year can register this summer at Hale Elementary School, 1300 W. Wise Road in Schaumburg. Registration will be held June 24 through July 11 (closed on Fridays) by appointment only. After families complete the new student registration on our district website, they need to call 847-357-5103 to schedule an appointment to submit additional documents to complete the registration.
Families of new registrants will need to provide a child’s original birth certificate, passport or visa; proof of residency and a few other documents. Please see Proof of Residence and Visual Examples of Necessary Documents for Registration sections on our registration page.
Returning District 54 families that need to submit updated registration or residency documentation can email those documents to [email protected]. If you are unable to send them electronically, you may mail copies to

New student registration will resume at school buildings on August 2, 2024. Please contact your child’s school directly for an appointment on or after August 2.
