Results of the Canvass for the April 1, 2025 School Board Election
The School Board approved a motion to accept the results of the canvass for the April 1, 2025 School Board election. Jim Pye, Nicholas Scipione, Debbie Schmidt and Bob Kaplan received a plurality of votes cast and have been elected as members of the Board of Education for four-year terms.
Nicholas Scipione introduced the Honorable Mary Sevandal Cohen, a Cook County Circuit Court Judge, who administered the Oath of Office to these four board members.

The Board thanked Jim Pye for his service as the outgoing president of the School Board.

The Board adopted the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the prior District 54 School Board.

- Board members spoke highly of the Dooley School Japanese Culture Night held last week.
- The Board was also encouraged to attend the District 54 Community Service Project celebrations, being held at all District 54 schools on May 9.
