Split times will be called out at the 1-, 2- and 3-mile marks. A digital clock will be at the finish line. ABSOLUTELY NO bicycles, skates, scooters, wheeled vehicles or pets are allowed on the 5K run. Strollers will be allowed on the walk and run this year. We revised the 5K course in 2012. Race results will be posted on this site.
All participants will receive a free drawing ticket in their goody bags, for a chance to win great prizes. You must be present at the awards ceremony to win.
We welcome all individuals with special needs. Please contact the race director in advance if you require special accommodations.
As there are expenses we incur regardless of whether people race, refunds will not be granted. However, if you register, but don’t attend the race, you may contact the race director by Oct. 4 to pick up your goody bag and T-shirt.
Photos will be taken of participants and may be used in District 54 printed materials and/or on the website to promote the Run to Read. Participants who do not want their picture used, must contact race director Terri McHugh at (847) 357-5028 or TerriMcHugh@sd54.org.
